
TCS extends partnership with Coop Danmark to enhance retail ops, customer experience


Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has extended its partnership with Coop Danmark, Denmark’s leading consumer goods retailer, to enhance its core business operations and improve the shopping experience for customers. As part of this collaboration, TCS will continue managing Coop’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system on SAP S/4HANA, ensuring streamlined operations across more than 900 stores.
For the past five years, TCS has supported Coop’s digital transformation by stabilizing and optimizing its central digital system. The extended partnership will further this effort, helping Coop navigate economic challenges and meet the expectations of budget-conscious shoppers by using advanced technologies to simplify operations and enhance customer service. Lars Ole Dybdal, Chief Technology Officer at Coop Danmark, emphasized the company’s commitment to building a future-ready retail experience with the latest technology, stating that the continued partnership with TCS will drive innovation and value for Coop’s two million members.
The move to SAP S/4HANA, one of the largest implementations in the Nordic region, has already standardized business processes across Coop’s retail operations, including in-store activities and supply chain management. With the renewed collaboration, the focus will shift to leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence, and automation to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs while enabling a more personalized shopping experience.

Earlier this month, TCS joined forces with Vantage Towers, Europe's second-largest telecom tower operator, to introduce a digital service platform designed to enhance the experience of property owners leasing land for telecom tower installations. This initiative aims to simplify service processes, improve landlord retention, and strengthen partnerships across Vantage Towers’ network of 86,000 sites across Europe.
As part of this collaboration, TCS isimplementing its telecom-focused solution, TCS Crystallus, to support Vantage Towers in its digital transformation. The platform will provide property owners with 24/7 access to customer support through multiple channels, ensuring smooth communication and service management. Additionally, Vantage Towers’ agents and stakeholders will have centralised access to key enterprise information through the unified system.
