HCLTech introduces AR-based IT infrastructure solution with CareAR, ServiceNow

India's third-largest IT services firm HCLTech has announced the launch of a new augmented reality (AR)-based IT infrastructure management solution. The solution is developed in collaboration with AR visual support provider CareAR and enterprise software provider ServiceNow. The offering aims to enable remote support, intelligent automation, and enhanced visibility into critical infrastructure operations.
The solution integrates HCLTech’s capabilities in infrastructure services and AI with CareAR’s AR visual support tools, all built on the ServiceNow platform. It is designed to support industries that require round-the-clock, remote IT assistance, such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, and retail. These sectors often depend on uninterrupted operations, and the AR-based system allows IT professionals to address issues without the need for physical presence on-site.
With this integration, users can expect digitised workflows, AR-assisted troubleshooting, and proactive problem resolution. These features are intended to reduce downtime, improve business continuity and optimise the lifecycle of IT assets.

"Integrating augmented reality into enterprise IT operations not only revolutionises the overall experiences in your organization but also unlocks unparalleled opportunities for efficiency, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring a sustainable competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving market," said Ravi Yeddanapudi, EVP, Digital Foundation Services, HCLTech.
Kirk Pothos, President of CareAR said that the collaboration with HCLTech would bring more interactive and immersive support experiences to organisations around the world, improving both customer service and operational performance.
In a related development, this week, HCLTech also secured a multi-year agreement with Taylor Wimpey, one of the UK’s leading residential property developers. As part of this deal, HCLTech will serve as Taylor Wimpey’s end-to-end IT services partner, delivering a comprehensive range of digital and infrastructure solutions aimed at modernising its IT landscape.
