UST, a digital solutions company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-Works, India’s largest prototyping centre backed by the Telangana government. The partnership aims to speed up the development of new technologies for the manufacturing, semiconductor, and automotive industries.

The US-based global digital transformation firm was founded in 1999 with its India headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. The firm has significantly expanded its footprint across the country, with offices in locations including Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Coimbatore, among other places, and employs over 20,000 employees in India.

Under the agreement, UST will help integrate various systems, supporting startups at T-Works with full-scale solutions. This will include work on automotive Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms, testing systems for semiconductor devices, and smart factory technologies.

By combining UST’s digital and artificial intelligence expertise with T-Works’ physical prototyping facilities, the collaboration is expected to reduce the time needed to bring products from hardware to digital form by nearly half. The two organisations also plan to share ownership of newly developed technologies, aiming to cut research and development costs by around 40 per cent.

UST clients will also have access to advanced technologies, including AI-supported manufacturing tools and early-stage semiconductor prototypes. Some tools and resources will be offered at reduced costs to help more companies adopt digital and hardware innovations.

The MoU was officially exchanged at UST’s campus in Thiruvananthapuram. The signing was attended by senior officials, including Alexander Varghese, Chief Operating Officer of UST, and Joginder Tanikella, Chief Executive Officer of T-Works. Other representatives from both organisations were also present.

Varghese said that the partnership would create a strong platform for innovation by bringing together physical and digital development efforts. “This collaboration makes it easier and faster for startups and companies to turn ideas into working products,” he noted.

Tanikella added that the agreement was a major step forward for India’s manufacturing and technology sectors. He highlighted that startups working with T-Works would benefit from direct links to UST’s global network, opening up new opportunities.

As part of the deal, UST will place teams at T-Works’ facility, allowing them to take part in hands-on product development. The two partners will also work together on creating new technologies such as 5G-based industrial tools and supporting innovation programmes for automotive suppliers.
