Barracuda launches AI-powered cybersecurity platform in India

US-based cybersecurity firm Barracuda Networks has launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based platform, BarracudaONE, in India to simplify threat detection and improve cyber resilience by integrating multiple security functions into one system.
As per a study, conducted by Vanson Bourne, 71% of IT and security professionals in India feel burdened by the number of tools they manage. Over half of the Indian respondents said that their tools lack integration, making it harder to ensure security and manage operations effectively.
The survey gathered responses from 2,000 senior security professionals worldwide. A majority of Indian respondents reported that fragmented tools increased the time needed to manage security and raised overall costs. Many also pointed out that this fragmentation weakens their ability to detect and respond to threats. Only 34% of respondents in India expressed full confidence in their tools being correctly configured.

BarracudaONE aims to address these concerns by consolidating the company’s security offerings into a single platform, the company said in a statement. The integrated dashboard provides a centralised view of threats and system performance, helping users to reduce operational complexity and make quicker decisions. The platform includes advanced AI trained over years of real-world use, which helps detect threats accurately and respond rapidly.
The company said that this unified approach not only improves efficiency but also reduces risk by closing gaps in security coverage.
