Wipro wins multi-year tech transformation deal from Entrust

Indian IT services company Wipro Limited on Tuesday entered into a multi-year agreement with Entrust, a US-based company focused on identity-centric security solutions.

This partnership is expected to help Entrust improve operational efficiency, support its digital transformation goals, and manage IT costs more effectively. Under the agreement, Wipro will support Entrust in scaling its operations and accelerating growth by providing support for product development, infrastructure services, and application modernisation.

Wipro also plans to use generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based tools to improve self-service capabilities, aiming to enhance user experience, speed up query resolution, and reduce support response times. In addition, the collaboration will focus on strengthening application security by using data analytics to identify potential vulnerabilities and provide insights for more secure software development.

Notably, the deal was mentioned in Wipro Limited’s financial results announcement, dated October 17, 2024, for the quarter that ended September 30, 2024, with a description of the company, but without naming the company.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company which announced its Q4FY25 results in April, recorded a modest 1.3% year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching ₹22,504 crore, compared to ₹22,208 crore in Q4FY24. The company reiterated its focus on AI while highlighting that its growth strategy would continue to focus on large deal wins, AI transformation, cross-industry solutions, building talent at scale, and client centricity.
