L&T Tech Services inks deal with Tennant Company for product development

IT services firm L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has signed an agreement with US-based industrial cleaning machine manufacturer Tennant Company to develop sustainable products. The partnership involves the establishment of a dedicated Offshore Development Centre (ODC) by LTTS, which will be tasked with supporting Tennant’s core engineering functions, including new product development, product lifecycle management, and other business-critical areas.
With this partnership, Tennant Company aims to accelerate innovation by working closely with LTTS, which has experience in engineering services and digital technologies, the company said in a statement.
The new development centre will be staffed by engineers who will focus on enhancing product capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and integrating smart technologies into Tennant’s existing and future product lines.

By leveraging LTTS’ technical capabilities in embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and digital engineering, the collaboration is aimed at supporting the creation of cleaning solutions that consume less energy, require fewer resources, and deliver better performance. “The focus is not only to improve product quality but also to align operations with broader sustainability goals,” said the statement.
Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President of Mobility & Tech at LTTS, said that LTTS would contribute its capabilities across design, engineering, and supply chain optimisation to support Tennant’s growth.
Pat Schottler, Chief Marketing and Technology Officer at Tennant Company, said, “Working with LTTS would help the company fast-track its product roadmap.” He noted that the collaboration would play a vital role in developing new solutions aligned with Tennant’s mission of creating cleaner, safer, and healthier spaces through advanced engineering.
