Magenta Mobility taps Bosch to strengthen digital operations

Electric mobility solutions provider Magenta Mobility has entered into a partnership with Bosch Mobility Platform and Solutions to enhance its digital infrastructure and backend systems. The collaboration is aimed at supporting the company's expansion and improving its digital capabilities.
Under the agreement, Bosch will offer services in cloud engineering, infrastructure and vulnerability management, and digital operations. These measures are expected to help Magenta maintain efficiency and system reliability as it scales up.
Magenta, which currently operates more than 2,700 electric vehicles in seven Indian cities, plans to increase its fleet to 10,000 electric cargo vehicles by 2026. This target forms part of its ongoing campaign to grow both its operations and its impact on job creation in the gig economy.

The company will continue to manage its own technology platforms, including its in-house telematics system and mobility optimisation tools. Bosch’s role will be to provide additional support for the company’s digital operations and infrastructure.
Maxson Lewis, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Magenta Mobility, said that technology is central to the company’s operations. He noted that Bosch’s involvement would help advance its digital development plans.
Pradeep Ramachandra, Chief Technology Officer at Bosch MPS, said the partnership is intended to help Magenta strengthen its digital foundation in line with India’s move towards electric mobility.

Magenta currently operates in more than 18 cities and serves industries such as e-commerce, groceries, fast-moving consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals, primarily focusing on mid- and last-mile deliveries. The company manages 100 charging depots, completes over 1.4 million deliveries per month, and has covered 35.2 million kilometres using electric vehicles. It reports offsetting more than 1,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide and employs over 2,700 delivery personnel.
