HCLTech to support ASISA’s digital shift in Iberia

India's third-largest IT services company by revenue HCLTech has been chosen by Spanish health insurance company ASISA as its technology partner to lead a major digital transformation initiative across the Iberian Peninsula.
The partnership aims to modernise ASISA’s IT systems, improve customer services for over 2.2 million policyholders, and support the company’s broader business growth in the region. As part of the plan, HCLTech will help streamline ASISA’s operations by overhauling its mainframe infrastructure and introducing artificial intelligence-based tools to boost efficiency and responsiveness.
The agreement is expected to enhance ASISA’s ability to adapt to market changes and lay the foundation for long-term innovation in Spain’s health insurance sector.

Sudip Lahiri, Executive Vice President and Head of Financial Services for Europe at HCLTech, said the partnership reflects the company’s ongoing focus on the Iberian market and its capabilities in core IT and infrastructure services.
On June 16, the company entered into a multi-year partnership with E.ON, one of Europe’s largest energy and utility companies.
The agreement is aimed at supporting E.ON’s shift towards a more product-based operational model through the adoption of advanced cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence technologies. As part of the deal, HCLTech will build a private cloud for E.ON and take charge of managing its cloud and network systems across global operations.

The partnership will also involve the use of HCLTech’s AI Force platform to improve E.ON’s automation and cloud maturity. The German utility firm is expected to benefit from predictive operational capabilities, quicker responses to changing market conditions, improved efficiency, and greater scope for innovation.
