The week (June 21-27) saw several CXO movements in the technology domain. IT companies such as Google and NetApp appointed industry leaders in key business positions. Non-IT companies such as Airtel, BNP Paribas, Inventia Healthcare Limited, among others, appointed tech executives to lead some of their IT and digital affairs. Here’s a roundup:
NetApp appoints Syam Nair as Chief Product Officer
IT networking company NetApp has appointed Syam Nair as its Chief Product Officer, effective July 7. Nair, who succeeds Harv Bhela, will lead product and engineering teams, driving the company’s hybrid cloud and AI initiatives. Nair brings over 25 years of experience to his job, most recently as CTO and EVP of R&D at cloud company Zscaler. He had previously held leadership roles at Salesforce and Microsoft. Nair completed a master of Computer Science and Applications from Goa University and later earned an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
Rohan Haldankar joins BNP Paribas as CISO
Rohan Haldankar has joined BNP Paribas as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in Mumbai. He will lead the bank’s cybersecurity strategy, IT governance, risk, and compliance functions. Haldankar has over two decades of cybersecurity experience, previously holding leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Abhyudaya Co-operative Bank, and Tata Consultancy Services. His expertise lies in the areas of IT GRC, security operations, and enterprise risk management.
Sanjay Nandavadekar joins as Head of IT at Inventia

Sanjay Nandavadekar has been appointed Head of IT at Inventia Healthcare Limited. With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and IT sectors, he brings expertise in IT strategy, digital transformation, and infrastructure management. Previously, Nandavadekar held senior leadership roles at Syngene International, Cipla, Sun Pharma, and AVN InfoTech. He has a strong background in pharmaceutical IT, regulatory compliance, and core applications.
Jagdish Mahapatra joins Google as Chief Revenue Officer
Jagdish Mahapatra has joined Google as Chief Revenue Officer APJ, Google Cloud Security. He brings nearly three decades of experience in cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise go-to-market strategy. Mahapatra will lead revenue growth and GTM strategy for Google Cloud Security across the Asia Pacific and Japan region. He previously held leadership roles at ColorTokens, CrowdStrike, McAfee, and Cisco.
Manoj Kumar Mauni joins Airtel as CIO
Manoj Kumar Mauni has been appointed CIO — Telecom at Bharti Airtel. With over two decades of experience driving IT transformations across various sectors, Mauni will lead Airtel’s technology initiatives. Previously, he served as CTO at Bandhan Bank and held senior IT leadership roles at Kotak Mahindra Bank. Mauni holds a BE (Hons) from BITS Pilani and a master’s in financial management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
Rajgopal Nayak joins IndoSpace as EVP — IT

Rajgopal Nayak has been appointed Executive Vice President — Information Technology at IndoSpace, an integrated supply chain infrastructure services platform based in Mumbai. With over two decades of experience in enterprise IT strategy and digital transformation, Nayak will lead IndoSpace’s technology vision. He previously held senior technology leadership roles at Metro Brands Limited, Marico Limited, and Asian Paints. His expertise includes ERP systems, enterprise architecture, and business intelligence.
