MobiKwik appoints Saurabh Dwivedi as CTO

Fintech firm MobiKwik has elevated Saurabh Dwivedi as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He was earlier the senior vice president (engineering), a role he had serving since August 2023. 

As the CTO, Dwivedi will lead engineering for four divisions – payments, financial services, core platform, and infrastructure and infosec. The goal for the company this year is to leverage AI as a growth catalyst. To this end, Dwivedi will spearhead initiatives like Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted product development, efficient collections, and customer delight. With this, the company aims to scale faster, accelerate go-to-market, drive revenue growth, and expand margins through intelligent automation. 

“MobiKwik has evolved into a diverse fintech platform – consumer payments operates at a significant scale, credit distribution is growing rapidly while our emerging verticals - wealth and payment gateway are still in the innovation phase. My focus will be on building a unified yet flexible infrastructure that serves diverse businesses at different stages of maturity, while maintaining reliability and innovation for our users,” said Dwivedi.

Before joining the Gurugram-based firm, Dwivedi was the VP of engineering at traveltech platform MakeMyTrip.

Along with the CTO, MobiKwik has also promoted Dhruv Wadhera to the senior VP of offline payments. Dhruv has been leading MobiKwik’s Offline Payments vertical since June 2023, spearheading its expansion across India. He has helped MobiKwik’s on-ground presence and enabled millions of small merchants to adopt digital payments, the company said in a statement. Prior to MobiKwik, Dhruv served as Vice President and Sales Director at Zomato, where he managed P&L operations across North and East India markets.
