HCLTech, Equinor extend IT collaboration for digital transformation

HCLTech, a global IT services provider and Equinor, one of Europe’s main energy providers and is engaged in renewable and low-carbon energy projects, have announced an expansion of their ongoing digital collaboration.
The new phase of their partnership will focus on advancing Equinor’s digital transformation across several areas of its IT operations. Under the agreement, HCLTech will work with Equinor to support cloud migration and improve the standardisation of services across its operations. The collaboration will also aim to strengthen Equinor’s cybersecurity measures and network performance.
In addition, HCLTech will help enhance the workplace experience at Equinor by introducing automation and new technologies. This includes the use of augmented reality to support user experience improvements.

The partnership builds on more than ten years of cooperation between the two companies. HCLTech has previously supported Equinor in its global expansion, infrastructure development, and cybersecurity efforts. The relationship has progressed from traditional managed services to a broader strategic engagement aligned with Equinor’s digital and operational goals.
No financial terms or contract duration were disclosed as part of the announcement. Both companies will continue to work together to implement the planned changes in the coming months.
"We’re pleased to continue our long-standing collaboration with Equinor," said Sandeep Kumar Saxena, Executive Vice President, HCLTech. "This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability.”
