NetApp appoints Kiran Sukhtankar as Director of Systems Engineering for India and SAARC

NetApp, a global provider of cloud-led, data-centric software solutions, has appointed Kiran Sukhtankar as the Director of Systems Engineering for India and the SAARC region. In this role, Sukhtankar will oversee the company’s systems engineering operations, focusing on technical engagement with customers and partners across the region.

Sukhtankar brings more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector. Over the years, he has worked in senior leadership roles at several multinational companies, including IBM, Oracle, Hitachi Data Systems, Symantec, Veritas, and Cohesity. His work has spanned across India, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, with a focus on pre-sales engineering, enterprise data management, and security.

Before joining NetApp, Sukhtankar led the presales function for Veritas and later Cohesity, where he was involved in enterprise data protection and management solutions. His responsibilities included addressing large-scale data infrastructure and security challenges for customers in various industries.
At NetApp, Sukhtankar will be responsible for developing the systems engineering strategy in India and SAARC, aligning the company’s technical initiatives with customer needs.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from the University of Mumbai and completed an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
