Cropin, a technology company focused on agriculture, has entered into a partnership with IT services firm Wipro to help agri-food businesses use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve operations and strengthen supply chains.

The partnership will combine Cropin’s agricultural AI platform with Wipro’s technology services and experience in consumer industries such as retail, food services, and consumer goods. Together, the companies will work to address key issues in agriculture, including limited transparency, fragmented data systems, and the challenges caused by unstable weather, shifting markets, and global risks.

By using AI and digital tools, the partnership plans to provide better insights at the farm level, improve decision-making, and support sustainable practices. These tools can also be applied to related industries such as quick-service restaurants, distribution, and packaged goods, which also rely on efficient and traceable supply chains.

The collaboration is intended to help businesses adapt to new conditions in agriculture, including regulatory changes and growing demand for traceability.

“Climate change, geopolitical instability, and trade tensions are reshaping the agribusiness landscape. At the same time, regulatory pressures like the EUDR and rising demand for traceability are forcing companies to rethink how they operate,” said Krishna Kumar, Founder and CEO of Cropin. “This partnership with Wipro is a strategic step toward building data-driven, climate-resilient, and compliant supply chains at scale.”

“AI is redefining how agribusinesses operate—from sourcing and production to distribution, compliance, and sustainability,” said Shiva Jayaraman, SVP and Sector Head – Consumer Business, Americas 1, Wipro Limited.
