Infosys partners with RWE AG to modernise digital workplaces

IT services provider Infosys has announced a new collaboration with RWE, the German energy company, aimed at modernising the company’s digital workplace infrastructure and improving day-to-day operational efficiency. The move builds on a long-standing relationship between the two firms, which spans more than a decade.
As part of the initiative, Infosys will deploy its workplace solutions to automate internal processes and enable greater self-service among employees. The approach is intended to simplify operations and support RWE's broader efforts to improve how its staff interact with digital tools.
The transformation will involve several technology-driven changes, including the migration of systems to Office 365, the introduction of collaborative applications, and the use of automation to manage service requests. Additional support will come from data dashboards, governance tools, and conversational bots powered by Microsoft Azure.

Gülnaz Öneş, Group CIO of RWE, said, “By leveraging modern technologies and aligning them with our sustainability and efficiency goals, we are streamlining operations, empowering our people, and creating value across RWE.”
Ashiss Kumar Dash, EVP & Global Head Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Enterprise Sustainability, Infosys, said, “By implementing our digital workplace solutions, we are not only streamlining RWE’s operations but also directly enhancing their ability to deliver improved value to their core customers. Our focus is on equipping RWE’s workforce with the latest digital capabilities, fostering a highly skilled and productive environment, ultimately helping drive sustainable growth.”
The announcement follows a similar agreement earlier this month between Infosys and AGCO Corporation, a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment. Under that partnership, Infosys is helping to transform AGCO’s IT and human resources functions through the use of its digital platforms, Infosys Cobalt and Infosys Topaz. The aim is to simplify systems, improve service consistency, and reduce operating costs.

Infosys is also tasked with automating and standardising AGCO’s internal HR workflows to make employee services more efficient and less complex. This part of the project is being managed through the company’s business process management division.
