Ingram Micro gets new Director of Cloud Sales in India

Ingram Micro, a global IT services provider, has appointed Sunil Golani as Director of Cloud Sales for its operations in India. In this new position, Golani will be responsible for advancing the company’s cloud services strategy, expanding relationships with key cloud providers, and supporting the adoption of Ingram Micro’s digital platform, Xvantage, among partners across the country.

Golani has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on cloud technologies, partner enablement, and business growth. Prior to this appointment, he served in various leadership roles at Ingram Micro, Tech Data (now TD SYNNEX), Avnet Technology Solutions, and Ontrack Solutions. At Tech Data, he was responsible for leading cloud sales across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region, where he managed partnerships with major cloud service providers and helped establish regional cloud programs.

He also held senior roles at Ontrack Solutions, including Director of Technology and Pre-Sales, where he worked on designing and delivering IT solutions. Golani began his career in technical support and moved into solution consulting and sales strategy over time.

His academic background includes a degree in engineering from BV College of Engineering in Navi Mumbai. He completed his secondary education at St. Anne’s High School.
