Tata Elxsi partners with KAVIA AI to introduce AI-powered automation in software development

Tata Elxsi has announced a partnership with San Francisco-based KAVIA AI to bring generative AI-driven automation to the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The collaboration will see the integration of KAVIA AI’s platform into both Tata Elxsi’s internal systems and customer-facing programmes.

KAVIA AI's platform is designed to manage large-scale codebases and complex backend systems, automating all stages of software development—from planning and design to testing, deployment and maintenance.

The partnership aims to improve software quality and speed up delivery timelines for industries where engineering precision is critical, including transportation, media, communications, and healthcare. By combining Tata Elxsi’s experience in engineering services with KAVIA AI’s cloud-based platform, the two firms will provide automation tools capable of supporting every phase of software development.

According to Nitin Pai, Chief Strategy Officer at Tata Elxsi, the adoption of generative AI in software development requires more than just technology—it also demands a partner with experience in scaling and deploying solutions across highly regulated sectors. Pai emphasised Tata Elxsi’s track record in software engineering and its approach to implementing AI responsibly.

KAVIA AI’s Chief Executive, Labeeb Ismail, welcomed the partnership, highlighting Tata Elxsi’s capability to deliver at scale and ensure the technology is applied effectively in enterprise settings.

Initial implementations are already underway across a range of projects, including software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms, embedded systems, middleware and device development. Early results have shown improvements in software delivery speeds while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
