Neo4j appoints former AWS and Oracle exec Ish Thukral to lead India and SAARC

Neo4j, a company known for its graph database technology used in data analytics and connected data solutions, has appointed Ish Thukral as General Manager for India and SAARC. In his new role, Thukral will drive regional business growth, expanding partnerships, and supporting customer engagement as the company builds its presence in the area.
Thukral brings over two decades of experience in enterprise technology. He previously held leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS) India & SAARC, where he managed partner programs, co-selling strategies, and marketplace initiatives. His earlier roles include senior positions at Oracle, RateGain, and Ingram Micro, where he worked across sales, ecosystem growth, and business development in both regional and international markets.
His appointment aligns with Neo4j’s 2025 regional expansion strategy, which follows the creation of its legal entity in India in 2024. The company is strengthening its sales and partner teams to meet growing demand for graph databases in industries such as banking, insurance, telecom, and government.

Neo4j’s graph technology supports use cases like fraud detection, cybersecurity, and customer data platforms by mapping complex relationships within data. As adoption of graph solutions increases in the region, Thukral will work with cloud providers, system integrators, and enterprise partners to scale Neo4j’s offerings and help organisations leverage data for improved decision-making.
Kristen ‘KP’ Pimpini, Vice President & General Manager, APAC, said, “He joins at a pivotal moment for Neo4j, as the company enables enterprises across India to transform their data into knowledge, unlocking insights for better business decisions and underpinning their AI models for more accurate, transparent, and explainable results.”
Thukral, said, “I’m ready to work alongside our valued partners across hyperscalers, system integrators, and GSIs to deliver outstanding customer experiences and make a lasting impact with graph technology across all markets.”

Thukral holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. He also earned a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Delhi University.
