Hyderabad-based AI-driven enterprise solutions Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited has announced the deployment of its AI-based video analytics system, AccessGenie, for the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB). The technology is now operational at Bhadrachalam Bridge as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking.

The Bhadrachalam Bridge, spanning approximately 1.13 kilometres across the Godavari River, is a vital road link connecting Bhadrachalam town in Telangana with nearby regions in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including Kothagudem and parts of the East Godavari district. Besides easing access to the renowned Sree Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple, the bridge plays a crucial role in regional transport and commerce, serving as a major transit route for both passenger and freight traffic. Its strategic location has also made it significant from a security standpoint, particularly in efforts to monitor and curb the movement of narcotics and other illicit activities across state borders.

AccessGenie uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyse live CCTV feeds, replacing manual surveillance with automated alerts. The system employs high-definition cameras along with tools such as number plate recognition and rule-based alert mechanisms to detect suspicious vehicle movements, possible fraud, and unusual behaviour. Once an alert is triggered, notifications are sent in real-time via SMS, email, and WhatsApp, allowing authorities to act promptly.

The deployment forms part of a broader strategy by the TGANB to use modern tools in addressing the challenges of drug smuggling and public safety. Blue Cloud Softech, which focuses on technologies such as AI, data analytics and cybersecurity, is positioning AccessGenie as a solution capable of evolving with future needs. Its design allows for additional features, including facial recognition and gunshot detection, to be added later.

AccessGenie has already been implemented by other coastal security agencies, suggesting wider interest in the technology across law enforcement bodies.

Chairman of Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited, Janaki Yarlagadda, said the company was proud to support the TGANB’s work.

She said, “This deployment is more than a technical success. It shows how local technology can be used to address national concerns. By transforming traditional surveillance into real-time monitoring, we’re enabling frontline teams to respond more quickly and effectively.”
