Data science and AI company Tredence has announced the launch of Milky Way, a new platform designed to help businesses make quicker and smarter decisions using Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Milky Way uses autonomous AI agents that can work like digital co-workers, the company said. These agents can analyse information, solve problems, and suggest actions across different areas of business without waiting for continuous supervision.

The platform includes more than 15 prebuilt agents focused on key business areas and over 50 specialised agents trained on real-world situations. For example, some agents can study customer behaviour to reduce churn, while others can help manage supply chains, improve marketing campaigns, or provide insights into product performance. Technical specialists are also part of the system, able to generate reports, detect unusual patterns, and turn text into database queries.

Shub Bhowmick, CEO and Co-founder of Tredence, said the shift in AI is moving from “tools to teammates.” He explained: “The challenge is not just building smarter models, but building systems that understand context, adapt to complexity, and drive meaningful outcomes. With Milky Way, our agents don’t replace people, they support them by working in line with how businesses actually operate.”

The platform has been built with enterprise-level flexibility and security in mind. It can be integrated into existing data systems and includes full audit trails and role-based access to ensure transparency. The agents are designed to learn and improve over time, using Tredence’s proprietary evaluation methods.

Sumit Mehra, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Tredence, added, “What sets Milky Way apart is that it focuses on real business results. Our agents don’t just process data, they understand context, keep track of past decisions, and deliver insights that grow without the need to expand teams.”
