VVDN acquires Hyderabad-based ER&D service provider

Product and software services provider VVDN Technologies (VVDN) has announced the acquisition of GGS Engineering Services. Hyderabad-based GGS is an engineering solutions company specializing in engineering research and development (ER&D) services for the Automotive, medical technology (MedTech), and Aerospace industries.
Through this acquisition, the Gurugram-headquartered firm will gain engineering expertise in the areas of mechanical design, analysis, simulation, virtual manufacturing, and technical publications. Beyond talent, VVDN is also expected to gain innovative product development with faster time to market; value-added engineering for cost optimisation; and scalable solutions.
The integration of GGS Engineering's mechanical and electrical expertise with VVDN's embedded systems and manufacturing prowess creates a vertically integrated solution for OEMs across key industries. The combined entity will operate under the VVDN umbrella, with GGS' leadership and founding teams continuing to play a pivotal role in the business.

“Our strengthened expertise now allows us to deliver comprehensive, cost-optimized product development for the automotive, medical, and aerospace industries—positioning VVDN to expand its footprint in the automotive ER&D space. We look forward to working together to deliver accelerated innovation and end-to-end engineering leadership,” said Puneet Agarwal, CEO - VVDN Technologies.
VVDN also said in a statement that GGS’ acquisition will help it to penetrate the multi-billion-dollar global ER&D market and unlock new revenue opportunities across high-growth verticals.
Notably, Applied Ventures, the venture capital arm of US-based Applied Materials, made a growth equity investment in VVDN Technologies in February 2024. This growth funding is helping the India-based electronics product design, software, and manufacturing company to expand the research and development of next-generation semiconductor technologies as well as electronic products and solutions. VVDN at the time said that it was looking to enhance design and manufacturing capabilities to serve global semiconductor and systems companies.
