Tata Elxsi, Suzuki launch cloud-based vehicle validation center in Trivandrum

Tata Elxsi and Suzuki Motor Corporation have opened a new facility in Trivandrum, India, called the SUZUKI–TATA ELXSI Cloud HIL Center. This is Suzuki’s first full-vehicle cloud-enabled Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation center and the second engineering hub developed in partnership with Tata Elxsi, following the Offshore Development Center set up in Pune.
The center is designed to support software-defined vehicle (SDV) development. It provides early-stage, full-vehicle simulation and validation using cloud-native infrastructure. Through this setup, Suzuki’s engineering and testing teams can remotely access HIL systems that are integrated with Electronic Control Units (ECUs). This reduces dependency on physical prototypes and speeds up testing and validation across global R&D operations.
The facility also brings Tata Elxsi’s expertise in automotive verification, validation, automation, and simulation into the development process. The aim is to help Suzuki achieve faster integration cycles, greater system reliability, and improved readiness for future vehicle programs.

The Cloud HIL Center is part of Suzuki’s “SDV Right” strategy, which focuses on electrical and electronic virtual development. By enabling continuous integration and shorter release cycles, the center is expected to play a role in Suzuki’s global software-led transformation in mobility.
The initiative adds to the collaboration between the two companies. The Pune center has already been supporting engineering projects, and the new Trivandrum facility is positioned as another step in expanding joint work on next-generation vehicle technologies.
Katsuhiro Kato, Director and Executive Vice President of Suzuki, said, “The SUZUKI-TATA ELXSI Cloud HIL Center is a new base that leverages Tata Elxsi's expertise and deep experience to build an advanced and efficient development system."

Manoj Raghavan, CEO and Managing Director, Tata Elxsi, said, “This new Cloud HIL Center builds on the strong foundation of our Pune ODC and marks a forward leap in our SDV-focused collaboration. It reflects our shared vision for sustainable and smarter mobility.”
