The Hartford, a Fortune 200 insurance company based in the U.S., on Tuesday announced the launch of its new India Technology Centre in Hyderabad’s Financial District, marking a significant step in its global digital and artificial intelligence (AI) expansion strategy.
Spread across the top two floors of Kalyani Trident, the facility is designed to serve as a hub for innovation, engineering excellence, and collaboration. The new office features dynamic collaboration spaces, advanced workstations, training facilities for continuous upskilling, and a history wall celebrating the company’s more than 200-year-old legacy.

“The true strength of The Hartford has always been its people,” said Shekar Pannala, Chief Information Officer, The Hartford. “By building on our world-class workforce with this technology centre in Hyderabad, we are not only creating new digital and AI capabilities but also shaping the future of insurance technology. This centre will be a magnet for talent in India – a place where engineering excellence and unified purpose drive innovation at scale.”

According to the company, Hyderabad was chosen for the expansion due to its deep technology talent pool, thriving innovation ecosystem, and status as one of India’s fastest-growing IT hubs. The new centre will complement The Hartford’s existing technology operations in Hartford, Connecticut; Chicago, Illinois; and Charlotte, North Carolina. Together, these centres will form a connected global technology team aimed at accelerating engineering capabilities and advancing the insurer’s modernisation agenda.
