Emversity elevates Manish Kumar as Chief Technology Officer

Industry-skilling platform Emversity announced on Thursday that Manish Kumar has been elevated to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) as it ramps up its AI-led digital transformation initiatives and expands its nationwide skilling footprint.
Kumar, who joined the Bengaluru-headquartered company in 2023 as technology and product lead, will spearhead Emversity’s efforts to enhance its AI-driven learning and operations platform that connects students, universities, and employers.
A technology leader with over two decades of experience, Kumar has previously held senior roles across enterprise technology, AI product development, and digital transformation. His expertise spans cloud architecture, learning analytics, and scalable enterprise software systems.
In his new role, Kumar will focus on deepening the integration of artificial intelligence, automation, and data analytics into Emversity’s core platform, enabling more personalised learning paths and stronger employability outcomes.

In a parallel move, Akash Kalp has taken charge as Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Emversity SMART, the company’s skill-training and certification vertical run in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Kalp will oversee the expansion of Emversity SMART’s network of training centres, which currently operate across multiple Indian cities, and will drive efforts to deepen engagement with government and industry partners in the skilling ecosystem.
Rahul Raj, who has been elevated to Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Emversity EDGE, will lead the company’s partnerships with higher-education institutions. He will focus on scaling initiatives that integrate industry-linked skill development into university curricula — a model that is currently active across 13 universities.
Meanwhile, Megha Lal has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and will lead Emversity’s people strategy, learning, and development ecosystem. With a workforce of over 700 employees across 22 states, Emversity aims to strengthen its talent and trainer base to support rapid growth across its verticals.

The leadership restructuring comes as Emversity accelerates its expansion across new sectors, while continuing to collaborate with universities, skilling bodies, and employers to enhance employability outcomes for students nationwide. By combining AI-led learning, analytics, and institutional partnerships, Emversity aims to build a connected ecosystem that prepares India’s workforce for the digital economy..
