In her new role, she will lead engineering, research, and digital technology teams based in Bengaluru and oversee technology operations supporting the company’s aerospace businesses.

Gupta joins GE Aerospace from GE Vernova, where she led the Gas Power engineering team in India across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Noida. She also served as the JFWTC Site Leader for GE Vernova. In that role, she was responsible for managing engineering functions and supporting global programmes linked to power and energy operations.

As CTO – India at GE Aerospace, Gupta will oversee engineering capability development, research and technology programmes, and coordination with global teams. Her responsibilities will include supporting commercial aircraft engines and services, as well as managing the Bengaluru technology centre, which plays a role in global engineering and research work.

Before this transition, Gupta held the position of Chief Technology Officer – India at GE Vernova. During the same period, Alok Nanda served as Chief Technology Officer – India at GE Aerospace and as Chief Executive Officer of the GE India Technology Centre. Both roles involved leading large engineering teams, developing technical capabilities in India, and supporting international projects across their respective businesses.

Gupta succeeds Nanda, who has moved into a global role at GE Aerospace. His new position involves improving customer outcomes, operational processes, and long-term service capabilities across the company’s aerospace portfolio.
