Aurionpro bags ₹150 cr DMRC deal to deploy EMV-based AFC systems in MP metros

Aurionpro Solutions Limited has won a fresh contract from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to implement Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems for the Bhopal and Indore Metro projects, further expanding its presence across India’s metro rail network. AFC is the system of digitalising the issuance of tickets for a public transportation network.

In a regulatory filing on Monday, the company said the multi-year order, valued at about ₹150 crore, has been awarded under DMRC’s collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited. The scope includes the supply, implementation and maintenance of open-loop EMV card- and QR-code-based AFC solutions for both metro systems.

Under the agreement, Aurionpro will provide end-to-end AFC implementation, followed by operations and maintenance support for a period of five years. The systems are aimed at improving commuter convenience, enhancing operational efficiency and enabling interoperability across the upcoming metro networks in Madhya Pradesh.

Aurionpro said its AFC offerings are built on open- and closed-loop EMV ticketing architecture, aligned with global payment standards and India’s National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) framework. The solutions are backed by the company’s in-house design and manufacturing capabilities under the “Made in India” initiative.
