Zensar uses Datadog to enhance cloud observability for UK financial services client

Zensar Technologies has expanded infrastructure observability for a UK-based retail and financial services company by integrating Datadog into the client’s Amazon Web Services environment. The project focuses on improving monitoring, incident response, and operational control across complex cloud workloads that support critical financial systems.

The engagement combines Datadog’s telemetry data with Zensar’s AIOps platform, The Vinci. The integration is designed to connect monitoring directly with operational actions. It provides a single view of system health, correlates events across infrastructure layers, and enables automated incident handling. The setup is aimed at reducing operational friction in environments where uptime and compliance are essential.

Within AWS, the deployment covers full-stack monitoring of EC2 instances and availability zones. Core infrastructure metrics such as CPU usage, memory, and operating system parameters are tracked using standardized baselines. Alerts generated by Datadog are fed into The Vinci, where they are filtered and correlated to reduce noise before triggering automated workflows, including ticket creation and resolution steps.

Automation plays a central role in the design. Monitoring agents are deployed using CloudFormation templates, allowing consistent rollout across environments. Dashboards are configured to map technical performance data to operational and business indicators, supporting faster decision-making for IT teams.

Governance and access control are built into the implementation. Single sign-on is enabled through Entra ID, and role-based access controls are applied to manage data access and meet regulatory requirements common in financial services.

According to Zensar, the integrated operations model is expected to reduce manual intervention through automated triage, consolidate multiple monitoring tools into a smaller footprint, and improve system stability by identifying infrastructure changes earlier. For enterprises running large cloud estates, the project reflects a shift toward tighter integration between observability platforms and automated IT operations.

Jitendra Nandwani, SVP and Head – Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security services, Zensar, said, “This collaboration brings observability and operations together - Datadog’s telemetry amplifies the decisioning and automation in The Vinci, translating signal into action for our client. By standardizing agent automation and aligning tagging to operations KPIs, we’ve created a repeatable blueprint for cloud estates.”

Yanbing Li, Chief Product Officer, Datadog, said, “By partnering with Zensar, we are enabling Zensar to deliver deeper insights into cloud environments, monitor the performance of AI tools, and streamline operational workflows through intelligent automation.”
