TCS partners Flight Centre Travel Group for global digital transformation

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a strategic partnership with Australia-headquartered Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) to support the travel company’s global digital transformation, as enterprises in the sector step up technology modernisation efforts.
Under the agreement, TCS will help modernise FCTG’s enterprise technology platforms, strengthen system resilience and improve customer and employee experience across the group’s worldwide operations, the companies said.
Flight Centre Travel Group is one of the world’s largest travel retailers, with leisure and corporate travel businesses spanning Australia and New Zealand, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

As part of the partnership, TCS will leverage its technology, data and artificial intelligence capabilities in the travel domain to transform FCTG’s enterprise technology services. The scope of work includes future-proofing cloud and network services, streamlining and consolidating core systems, improving the performance of the global enterprise technology stack and unlocking greater value from existing technology investments.
“We are delighted to be working with TCS as we continue our evolution as a business. Strengthening our technology backbone is an ongoing priority and we look forward to collaborating with the TCS team to deliver tangible benefits to our people and, ultimately, our customers and shareholders,” said Graham Turner, chief executive officer, Flight Centre Travel Group.
Krishnan Ramanujam, president of the consumer business group at Tata Consultancy Services, said the engagement would focus on simplifying operations and enhancing experience across the enterprise. “Together, we are transforming the enterprise technology services of one of Australia’s most iconic travel brands to adopt an AI-first, simplified global operating model,” he said.

TCS will also support platform standardisation, continuous service-level improvements through governance frameworks, and transparent reporting mechanisms, as FCTG moves towards a unified global operating model.
The partnership builds on TCS’s long-standing presence in the travel, transportation and hospitality sector, where the Indian IT services firm has worked with global operators for over three decades across areas such as customer service management, supply chain, pricing and business model reinvention.
In Australia, TCS has been operating for more than 35 years and serves as a digital partner to several of the country’s top listed companies. The firm operates out of five locations across Australia and has been recognised by LinkedIn among the Top 25 companies to work for, as well as by the Top Employers Institute.
