Cognizant, Google Cloud deepen ties to scale agentic AI deployment in enterprises

Cognizant has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to focus on deploying agentic AI systems at enterprise scale. The move shifts the collaboration from platform integration to execution across large organizations.

The company will deploy Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise internally as part of its rollout. It said the deployment is intended to improve productivity and integrate AI into day-to-day operations. The company plans to use its internal implementation as a model for clients.

Cognizant will also introduce a new offering that combines Gemini Enterprise with Google Workspace. The service is designed to help enterprises replace manual processes with AI-driven workflows. Target use cases include content creation and supplier communication.

To support delivery, Cognizant is establishing a dedicated Gemini Enterprise Center of Excellence. The company will use its Agent Development Lifecycle framework to manage AI deployment from design through production. The framework embeds AI into software development processes, including planning, validation and rollout.

The partnership also includes the use of Cognizant Ignition, a platform powered by Gemini that supports discovery and prototyping. Cognizant Agent Foundry will provide no-code tools and pre-configured solutions for applications such as contact centers and order management systems.

Annadurai Elango, President, Core Technologies and Insights, Cognizant, said, “Cognizant brings together the optimal combination of people and technology, including proprietary IP and deep services expertise, to build industry-specific platforms, embed context into systems, and co-create agentic solutions tailored to each client’s business.”
