NetApp unveils AI-focused data infrastructure strategy for India’s enterprises

NetApp has introduced its data infrastructure strategy for India at INSIGHT Xtra Mumbai 2026, outlining how enterprises can scale artificial intelligence across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The company positioned its platform as a foundation for organizations moving from AI pilots to full production deployments.

The company launched NetApp AFX systems and the NetApp AI Data Engine, or AIDE, co-developed with NVIDIA. The AFX systems are built for AI workloads and allow enterprises to scale storage capacity and performance independently. Running on NetApp ONTAP, the systems support large-scale data management and can scale up to 128 nodes. NetApp AFX is also certified for NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD deployments, designed for high-throughput AI model training and inference.

AIDE is built on the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design and integrates NVIDIA AI infrastructure, networking, and enterprise software. The platform supports vectorization of data, semantic search, and automated data synchronization. NetApp said this reduces duplicate data copies and helps keep AI datasets updated.
