LTM (formerly LTIMindtree) has partnered with US tech major NVIDIA to modernise the national tax analytics platform of the Central Board of Direct Taxes under the government’s Insight 2.0 programme, the company said in a regulatory filing on Thursday.

The seven-year mandate will see LTM deploy a secure cloud architecture powered by NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure to strengthen data processing, risk assessment and compliance monitoring within India’s direct tax ecosystem. LTM’s BlueVerse platform will act as the intelligence core of the programme, embedding AI across operational layers to enable real-time analytics, automated case workflows, targeted campaign management and AI-led taxpayer support.

The overhaul is aimed at tightening governance standards, curbing revenue leakages and improving taxpayer interface through a unified digital framework, as the government sharpens its focus on AI-driven public administration.

Gururaj Deshpande, Chief Delivery Officer at LTM, said the collaboration integrates NVIDIA’s accelerated computing stack with BlueVerse to build a scalable and resilient tax administration backbone. Yogesh Agrawal, Vice President of Data Centre GPU Business at NVIDIA, said full-stack AI is playing a pivotal role in modernising critical national infrastructure, adding that the engagement underscores the growing adoption of AI-led governance models in India.

The development comes amid LTM’s broader deal momentum. Earlier this week, the company secured a $100-million, multi-year contract from a Europe-based medtech firm. The tax modernisation mandate also aligns with NVIDIA’s expanding India footprint, where the chipmaker has been deepening partnerships across the public sector, industry and AI infrastructure initiatives.

The Larsen & Toubro Group company, with over 87,000 employees globally, is currently awaiting shareholder approval for its name change as it sharpens its positioning as an AI-centric technology services provider.
