HCLTech expands Google Cloud partnership to push enterprise use of agentic AI

HCLTech has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud as both companies move to increase the use of Agentic AI in enterprises across industries.

Under the agreement, HCLTech will use Gemini Enterprise and Gemini models to build custom AI agents for clients. The company will also deepen its use of Google Workspace to support collaboration, security and AI-led business operations.

The move comes as enterprises look for ways to apply AI to software, workflows and business decisions. HCLTech said its Gemini-based offerings are designed to help companies automate tasks, improve operations and introduce AI into core systems. Some of the AI agents developed by HCLTech are already listed on the Google Cloud Marketplace.

The expanded partnership also sets up a formal program to speed up client adoption of generative AI and Agentic AI. HCLTech said the program will support more than 2,000 GenAI-led customer engagements and build internal expertise around Google Cloud technologies.

A major area of focus is product development. HCLTech said its AI Force platform will integrate with Google’s Gemini models and Gemini Code Assist to support software engineering and IT operations. The company is also working on cloud migration and security offerings, including support for Oracle, SAP and VMware transitions to Google Cloud.

HCLTech is also growing its Agentic AI Center of Excellence to create industry-focused solutions. Existing offerings include Insight for manufacturing and Netsight for telecommunications. The company also plans to open Gemini Experience Zones, physical AI hubs at global locations, and expand its Google Cloud-certified workforce from 12,000 to more than 35,000 over the next three years.

“This strategic collaboration reinforces the strength of our partnership and shared vision with Google Cloud to help enterprises scale AI adoption in alignment with their business objectives,” said Vijay Guntur, CTO and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech.
