Lentra, a Pune-based lending technology company, has appointed Rajesh Kumar Rathanchand as its chief executive officer, as the fintech firm looks to accelerate growth and deepen its technology-led lending capabilities.

Rathanchand brings over three decades of experience in financial services, spanning retail credit, risk management and analytics-driven solutions. He previously served as managing director and CEO of TransUnion CIBIL and earlier as group head for retail credit and risk at HDFC Bank.

Lentra, which offers an AI-native platform enabling end-to-end digital lending journeys across retail, MSME and agri segments, allows financial institutions to process loan applications and decisions in under 10 seconds. The company supports over 25 configurable loan products and operates on a pay-as-you-go model, helping banks and NBFCs scale credit operations.

In his new role, Rathanchand will lead the company’s strategic growth agenda, focusing on advancing its technology stack and strengthening its capabilities in credit risk and analytics as it expands across domestic and global markets.

“I am excited to join Lentra at a pivotal stage of its growth,” Rathanchand said in a statement, adding that the opportunity ahead is significant, not just in India, but across global markets still reliant on legacy infrastructure.

Founder and managing director D Venkatesh said the appointment reflects the company’s push to build a more scalable and intelligent lending platform amid evolving banking requirements. Rathanchand said he aims to accelerate growth through sharper product innovation, faster execution and wider global reach.
