Semiconductor engineering firm Tessolve on Monday announced the appointment of Ravi Kumar Chirugudu as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately, as it sharpens its global growth strategy amid rising demand for chip design and engineering services.

Chirugudu, who brings over 35 years of experience, has previously held senior leadership roles at HCL Technologies, Altran and Wipro, managing large P&L portfolios across geographies.

In his new role, he will lead Tessolve’s growth strategy by expanding its global engineering capabilities, strengthening customer relationships and accelerating innovation across semiconductor and high-performance computing segments, the company said in a statement.

The appointment comes at a time when Tessolve is scaling its global footprint, following the acquisition of Germany-based Dream Chip Technologies and a recent $150 million investment led by TPG. The company is positioning itself to capitalise on growing opportunities across the semiconductor value chain, spanning design, packaging, validation and systems integration.

“As we scale our global semiconductor and system engineering capabilities, Ravi’s appointment marks an important step forward,” said Srini Chinamilli, co-founder and CEO of Tessolve. He added that rising global demand for semiconductors across industries is opening up opportunities across the lifecycle, where execution capability and customer connect will be critical.

Chirugudu said he is joining at a time when the industry is moving towards more complex, AI-driven systems. “The strength of its global team and deep expertise in semiconductor innovation creates a strong foundation to build scalable solutions,” he said.
