Tech Mahindra integrates SAP's AI assistant to speed up enterprise implementations

Tech Mahindra, an IT services provider, has adopted SAP Joule for Consultants, an AI-powered assistant built into SAP's enterprise software suite, to support faster project delivery across its SAP implementation practice in India.

The tool will be embedded across the full project lifecycle — from initial discovery and system design through development, testing, and post-deployment support. It functions as a conversational assistant trained on SAP's internal documentation and knowledge base, giving consultants direct access to technical guidance without manual research.

The core problem the integration addresses is time. SAP implementation projects typically require consultants to sift through large volumes of technical documentation before making decisions. According to Tech Mahindra, early use of the tool has shown a 28–30% reduction in research time, with consultants saving an estimated two hours per day on routine knowledge retrieval tasks.

That time is expected to be redirected toward higher-complexity work, configuring systems, managing client requirements, and resolving project-specific challenges that automated tools cannot handle.

The adoption also connects to a broader push around cloud migration. Tech Mahindra supports enterprises moving to SAP's RISE programme, which shifts SAP workloads to the cloud. Faster, more consistent implementation work directly affects the cost and timeline of these transitions.
