HCLTech has elevated Avishek Chattopadhyay to the role of Global Chief Information Officer, succeeding Ajit Kumar, who is set to retire from the company. In his new role, Chattopadhyay will lead the company’s AI-led IT transformation strategy, with a focus on aligning enterprise technology with business priorities and driving innovation-led operational efficiency.
Chattopadhyay has been associated with HCLTech since 2005 and most recently served as Executive Vice President & Head – Global Delivery, Digital Process Operations. Hero MotoCorp appoints Sachin Agrawal as Chief Technology Officer
Hero MotoCorp has appointed Sachin Agrawal as Chief Technology Officer, effective May 21, as the two-wheeler maker accelerates its focus on next-generation mobility, electrification and software-defined vehicles. Agrawal will lead the company’s R&D transformation across the Hero Centre for Innovation and Technology in India and the Hero Tech Centre Germany.
Agrawal joins Hero MotoCorp from VE Commercial Vehicles, where he served as Executive Vice President and Head of R&D and Technology. With nearly three decades of experience across automotive engineering, electric mobility and connected technologies, he is expected to play a key role in advancing Hero MotoCorp’s EV, alternative fuel and AI-led mobility roadmap. He succeeds Vikram Kasbekar, who will continue as Executive Director on the company’s board.
Greaves Cotton appoints Vinay Pawar as Group CTO

Greaves Cotton has appointed Vinay Pawar as Group Chief Technology Officer, effective May 4, as the engineering and mobility company sharpens its technology-led growth strategy under its Greaves.NEXT roadmap. Based in Pune, Pawar will lead the company’s technology vision across product innovation, digital capabilities and future-ready engineering initiatives, including e-powertrain and emerging mobility solutions.
Pawar brings nearly three decades of experience across automotive electronics, industrial automation, embedded systems and connected mobility. Prior to joining Greaves Cotton, he held senior leadership roles at Spark Minda Group and has also worked with KPIT Technologies, Continental Automotive, Bosch and ABB. Tata Steel India appoints Animesh Ghosh as Head of Data Protection and Privacy

Parmar most recently served as Senior Engineering Manager, where he led innovation, platform reliability and operational excellence across key business functions. In his new role, he will spearhead the company’s engineering strategy with a focus on scalable architecture, high-performance systems and platform innovation. Over the years, Parmar has held multiple leadership positions at redBus and played a key role in building fault-tolerant distributed systems supporting large-scale digital transactions and user growth.
