Anuraag Kochhar joins ShepHertz as chief technology officer

Applied AI platform company ShepHertz has appointed Anuraag Kochhar as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), bringing on board a technology veteran with nearly three decades of experience in software engineering, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data science and enterprise transformation.
The appointment comes as the Delhi-based AI firm seeks to expand its sovereign AI and workforce intelligence platforms globally amid growing demand from enterprises and regulated industries for secure, governance-focused AI deployments.
In his new role, Kochhar will lead the company's technology strategy, product innovation, platform engineering and AI-led transformation initiatives. He will also oversee the engineering roadmap for ShepHertz's portfolio, including AgentAnywhere, a sovereign-deployable agentic AI platform, as well as workforce intelligence products such as wAnywhere, BrowseAnywhere and TalentAnywhere.

Kochhar joins ShepHertz after holding senior technology and business leadership roles across India, the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia. His career spans organisations including Motorola, Schlumberger, STG, Teleste and SMT Electronic Technology, where he worked across software engineering, embedded systems, enterprise technology and operational leadership. More recently, he served in CTO and Chief Data Officer roles, leading initiatives in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain and data science.
The executive appointment underscores ShepHertz's efforts to strengthen its leadership team as enterprises increasingly seek sovereign AI solutions that can operate within their own security, compliance and governance frameworks.
"AgentAnywhere addresses a challenge I have encountered throughout my career—bridging the gap between the promise of AI and what regulated enterprises can confidently deploy," Kochhar said, adding that the platform's sovereign architecture and compliance-first design position it for broader enterprise adoption.

Founder and CEO Siddhartha Chandurkar said Kochhar's combination of technical expertise and global business leadership experience would help drive the company's next phase of growth.
"We've spent more than a decade building AI systems that organisations can trust. The next phase of our journey is about delivering that trust at greater scale globally," Chandurkar said.
Founded as an applied AI platform company, ShepHertz serves enterprises, governments, financial institutions and healthcare organisations through its AI infrastructure and workforce intelligence offerings. The company said it has more than 80,000 registered customers across 150 countries and has processed over 500 billion API calls globally.

The leadership hire comes amid intensifying competition in the enterprise AI market, where vendors are increasingly focusing on sovereign AI capabilities, data residency requirements and industry-specific compliance needs as organisations move from experimentation to large-scale AI deployments.
