Indian IT services firm Infosys on Tuesday has secured a long-term strategic IT transformation engagement with Finnish industrial technology company Valmet, as enterprises increasingly invest in AI-led modernisation of core technology operations to improve efficiency, resilience and business agility.

Under the agreement, Infosys will modernise Valmet's core IT services and deliver an end-to-end IT transformation programme aimed at aligning the company's technology operations more closely with its business objectives.

The engagement will see Infosys leverage its AI-powered Infosys Topaz platform and cloud suite Infosys Cobalt to transform Valmet's enterprise IT landscape, improve operational efficiency and establish a future-ready digital foundation.

As part of the programme, Infosys will deploy Infosys Topaz Fabric, its agentic AI services suite, to embed artificial intelligence across IT operations. The company said the platform will support a human-in-the-loop model designed to improve governance, transparency and accuracy while enabling faster issue resolution, productivity gains and proactive IT management.

Infosys will also use Infosys Cobalt to modernise Valmet's cloud environment and create scalable and secure cloud foundations that support long-term digital transformation initiatives.

The collaboration is intended to support Valmet's "Lead the Way" strategy, which focuses on strengthening operational efficiency, governance and business resilience through technology modernisation.
