Bangalore-based private label online brand Zovi has appointed Microsoft Indonesia chief marketing and operations officer, Manish Chopra, as its new CEO. Chopra's role at Zovi would be to focus on overall management of business and profitable growth and revenues.

On his new role, Chopra commented, " I am looking forward to take this brand to the next level of growth." Prior to Zovi, Chopra was associated with Microsoft, Oracle and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

It started out as a menswear private label online brand and added women's wear and accessories later on. Very recently it has added home furnishings to its set of offerings.

In May, Zovi had disclosed its second round of funding of about $10 million by Tiger Global and SAIF Partners.  In July, 2011, it raised $5.5 million in Series A round led by SAIF Partners. MakeMyTrip founder Deep Kalra was also a part of the investors' line up in the first round and had joined the board of the firm. The current round of funding is being utilised for this expansion and rebranding.

In another company-related  development, one of the founding members of Zovi, Sartaj Mehta, moved out and joined Wills Lifestyle and John Players as the creative head. He was vice president product and production at Zovi.
