In the fourth episode of 'TC Show Off', a weekly video show that provides startups a platform to showcase themselves, their business models, the core USP etc., Ghar360, a cloud-based 3D augmented reality platform for home design is introducing its offerings.
The TLabs incubated startup was founded by the trio of Ajesh Joy, Sanju Thomas and Mohammed Nizamdin. It enables users to customise and visualise their dream home even before they buy/build it. In addition, the platform also allows architects and builders to exhibit their projects in an innovative way that can be used as a quick sales and marketing tool.
With just a click of a button, the 2D floor plans can be converted into 3D giving a more realistic view of the home interiors for end users, realtors, architects, or interior designers. End users can also use the platform for customising their homes by dragging and dropping products (furniture, etc.) in order to visualise the same.
Presently, the 18 months old startup is in talks with builders and real estate search portals to generate revenues.
Mukul Singhal, principal, SAIF Partners is more excited about the end user market and home improvement market from a market size perspective. There is a lot of head room in India given the population and the margin in the value chain is pretty high. However, the gestation period is also higher in the B2C case.
