Media agency MEC India, part of GroupM Wordwide Inc. (a WPP company) , has appointed Premnath Unnikrishnan as head (digital) for south India region, according to a company statement. At MEC, he will be responsible for developing digital strategies, implementing digital technologies and running digital processes.
Based out of Bangalore, Unnikrishnan will report to Vishal Chinchankar, digital leader (India) at MEC.
Unnikrishnan has a decade-long experience in the digital arena. Prior to joining MEC, he had worked at Interactive Avenues, a full-service digital marketing company where he has managed accounts like Wipro, TTK, ING Vysya Bank and World Vision, amongst others.
"From developing digital strategies to implementing digital technologies and running digital processes, these responsibilities will serve as a great learning opportunity. I am look forward to learning from the pool of talented people present here at MEC," said Unnikrishnan.
