US-based IT services firm DXC Technology opened its first facility for data analytics migration for Microsoft Azure's cloud computing customers in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The Analytics Migration Factory will help the Azure clients achieve faster, efficient and safer cloud migration while implementing new applications and integrating pre-built analytics and artificial intelligence services, Edward Ho, executive vice president at DXC, said in a statement.

The teams at the facility comprises professionals with advanced skills in data science and cloud architecture, design and deployment as well as Azure skills and certifications.

DXC will follow up with two more such facilities in Warsaw (Poland) and Manila (Philippines) by the end of this year.

“Increasingly, global enterprises want to leverage and benefit from digital innovations like AI and machine learning for smooth, rapid and orchestrated migration of data and analytic workloads from any source to the cloud," said Ho.

DXC has more than 900 Azure professional certifications, 900 analytics clients and 8,000 analytics and AI professionals worldwide.

Azure has a wide portfolio of AI productivity tools for customers to read their data and build applications according to their requirements.
Rohan Kumar, corporate vice president for the Azure data platform at Microsoft, said DXC’s analytics migration facilities will help companies seeking to move their analytics workloads quickly and efficiently to the cloud and open new opportunities to gain value from their data and analytics.

The "factory" model drives migration efficiencies with a deep library of cataloged methods, proven design patterns and best practices, the companies said in the statement.

DXC said it has deployed multiple factory lines to address core areas of assessment, design, development, testing, and migration deployment, supported by its managed services and project management capabilities. The factory model also increases migration quality and improves scheduling and productivity through automation while streamlining costs, governance and project execution.
