Adda247, a test preparation platform for government and public sector examinations, has acquired Success Ease, a YouTube channel, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will enable Adda247 to strengthen the online content library for Adda247 Technical, its test-preparation offering for technical government jobs.

“This acquisition will help us to tap into the high-potential exam-preparation market for technical government jobs, which remains relatively undeserved at present,” Adda247 chief executive and co-founder Anil Nagar said in a statement.

Delhi-based Success Ease, through its YouTube channel, helps technical job aspirants prepare for competitive exams including Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineers (SSC JE).

Metis Eduventures Pvt. Ltd, a Delhi-based company that owns Adda247, claims that more than 40 million users subscribe to its platform and consume its video courses, live streams, mock tests, e-books and hard copies of books for job aspirants. The company’s mobile app claims to be the second-largest ed-tech platform in the country in terms of paid users. The firm provides services across multiple platforms including Bankersadda.com, sscadda.com, ctetadda.com and Career Power.

Adda247 vies for funding with other players in the ed-tech sector, such as CollegeDekho, which recently raised $8 million in its Series B round of funding.
