MobiKwik partners Singapore’s DT One to offer mobile recharge in over 150 countries

Gurugram-based One MobiKwik Systems Pvt. Ltd, which operates payments platform MobiKwik, on Tuesday said that it has partnered Singapore-based B2B mobile top-up solutions platform DT One. 

Under this partnership, MobiKwik will offer mobile recharge in over 150 countries across more than 550 mobile operators through the international recharge service now live on the MobiKwik app.

Immigrants living in India can recharge their telecom accounts in real time via the international recharge service on the MobiKwik app. MobiKwik users will also be able to top up their mobile accounts prior to travel in Indian currency.

Founded in 2009 by Bipin Preet Singh and Upasana Taku, MobiKwik has raised about $120 million from four rounds of funding from investors including Sequoia Capital, American Express and Net1. It has over 107 million users that make payments to over three million merchants and over 200 billers.

The digital wallet platform said last month that its gross revenues rose 116% to Rs 184.6 crore for the financial year 2018-19.

After acquiring fin-tech platform Clearfunds, MobiKwik made its foray into online wealth management last October.

One of MobiKwik’s latest additions to its arsenal of services was the launch of the digital insurance facility on its app. Its service, launched in November, offered accidental insurance with a range of life insurance and general insurance products launched subsequently.
