Indian information technology (IT) services firm HCL Technologies has been selected as the main supplier for digital transformation and IT services for Volvo Cars.
HCL will help Volvo Cars in its large-scale transformation programme, which includes organisation-wide technology shifts to help Volvo Cars capitalise on new opportunities and improve internal business processes and customer experiences, the companies said in a joint statement.
The collaboration includes several aspects of digital transformation including product orientation, DevOps and application integration.
Volvo will be enabled to solve business complexity efficiently and achieve faster time-to-market as well as leverage the strength of mobility, subscription-based services, electrification and autonomous driving, the joint statement added.
“As one of its main suppliers, HCL is looking forward to helping Volvo Cars to achieve its digital transformation ambitions by leveraging our industry-leading service capabilities and automotive domain expertise. It’s rewarding to see our strong commitment to Volvo since 2016 translate into this new engagement, which will allow us to focus on helping Volvo Cars to transform its digital landscape and further leverage advanced opportunities that new technologies can offer,” said Pankaj Tagra, executive vice president and head - Nordic and DACH business at HCL Technologies.
Earlier this month, Infosys had been selected as one of the providers of digital transformation services for Volvo Cars.
