Japanese technology services and staffing firm TechnoPro has opened a global delivery centre in Bengaluru and plans to hire almost 10,000 engineers by the end of 2021.

TechnoPro India employs close to 350 people in the country at its three offices in Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad, according to a statement. 

Founded in 1997, TechnoPro is one of the largest staffing companies in Japan. It focusses on hiring engineers for technologies that are used in smart mobility, fast retailing and quality manufacturing processes.

The company has 20,000 employees globally, with most of them working in Japan. It now wants to expand through the organic route as well as mergers and acquisitions.

"The recent growth of India in global arena has motivated us to look at the country as a potential base where we can find abundant of highly-skilled engineers in all aspects of technical domains," the company said in the media statement.

Most of its current employees in India are deployed at the Japanese firms in the country, the company said. TechnoPro has more than 2,100 customers for whom it provides full support for technical work as well as the research and development across various sectors.

Tokyo stock exchange-listed TechnoPro will compete with Bengaluru-based general staffing firms Quess Corp and TeamLease, which are also the country's largest IT contract staffing providers. The Indian employees were part of TechnoPro’s previous merger and acquisition deals in the country, though it did not divulge any details on those deals.
