Digital marketing platform Do Your Thng (DYT) has raised $150,000 in a second angel funding round from Puneet Chandra, founder of coworking startup Skootr, and Copal Partners founder Sorabh Agarwal, among others.

The Gurugram-based startup had raised an undisclosed sum from a group of individual investors including Agarwal, Pawan Kumar, Girish Minocha, Proteek Dey and Rahul Verma in May this year.

DYT will use the capital raised in the current round to hire talent, onboard more creators, as well as ramp up its brand partnerships and technology usage, it said in a statement.

“DYT within months of its operation has successfully worked wonders for brands such as Mastercard India and Havells, thus bringing engagement for the brands,” DYT founder Ankit Agarwal said. Cedreto Marketing, the company that owns DYT, was founded by Agarwal in November last year.

DYT runs online influencer programmes that use an individual’s social media engagement on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to promote brands. These individuals have a considerable online presence in terms of metrics such as followers and are considered to have the ability to sway potential buyers of a product or service.

“Through our app, we give active users the chance to earn from their (social media) posts by supporting brands, products, and issues. For brands, we provide a secure marketplace to find the right creators for their product and/or service and get the word out there through paid campaigns,” Agarwal said.

DYT operates on a broker based revenue model where a percentage of total spends is charged to maintain and scale the platform. The app is available at the Google Play and iOS app stores in India.
