Higher education services platform Leverage Ed-Tech has announced the appointment of Digvijay Gagneja as chief operating officer, who will lead the company’s strategic initiatives.

Before this, Gagneja was the engagement manager at McKinsey. He led strategy engagements and digital transformations with clients in India, Singapore, the UK and the Philippines. The Indian School of Business alumnus has also worked with venture capital firm Matrix Partners.

“I am really thrilled to have Digvijay come on board to help us move to the next level. He will be closely working with me on strategically guiding the company, and will also be spearheading some of our new initiatives,” Akshay Chaturvedi, CEO of Leverage Ed-Tech, said in a statement shared with TechCircle.

Last year, the New Delhi headquartered firm appointed Aman Arora, who co-founded the company’s university guidance platform Univalley in September last year, as the head of technology. In the early days of the company, Arora was Leverage Ed-Tech’s technology advisor. In February last year, the company brought in Gaurav Bhatia, co-founder of robotics-based K-12 learning company Makerpreneur, as the vice president of operations — he was recently elevated to the position of chief business officer.

Leverage Ed-Tech, founded in 2017 by Chaturvedi, helps students, college graduates and professionals seeking higher education outside India through the Leverage Edu platform. The company’s other offering, Univalley, advises partner universities outside India on course development and marketing.

Backed by DSG Consumer Partners and Blume Ventures, the platform raised an extended seed round of $1 million in January last year and has so far raised a total capital of $3 million.
