Gurugram-based cloud telephony startup Knowlarity Communications has recruited a CXO team consisting of Jaideep Kumar, Sumit Punchhi and Puru Govind as chief sales officer, chief marketing officer and chief product officer, respectively.
All three are veterans from the telecom, information technology and marketing sectors, the company said in a statement.
“The expansion of the leadership team will help us create exciting products and add more value to our current and future enterprise customers. Our expanded leadership team will aid us to achieve our next phase of growth and increase revenues considerably over the next decade. Each new senior leader has distinct skills that will help Knowlarity immeasurably,” Yatish Mehrotra, CEO of Knowlarity, said.
“The team will also play a part in making Knowlarity a more enterprise solution-oriented company,” he added.
Mehrotra took charge of Knowlarity in December 2018 when the company’s founder and CEO Ambarish Gupta stepped down.
Chief sales officer Kumar has over 20 years of experience in business development and sales, having worked in the cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) space with companies like Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft and Red Hat.
“The cloud telephony space has taken a central place in building a five-star customer engagement experience and Knowlarity is at the forefront of delivering this experience. I am extremely excited to be a part of this journey,” Kumar said.
Chief marketing officer Punchhi has more than 20 years of experience, of which he has spent 15 in the dynamic telecom sector, handling roles such as strategy, marketing, and sales and operations. He has worked in telecom companies such as Tata Teleservices, Vodafone and Bharti Airtel.
Chief product officer Govind has worked for over 14 years in Fortune 500 companies, near unicorns and early-stage startups. He was the group chief technology officer/CEO for India at end-to-end after-sales platform technology and services company B2X Care Solutions and worked for almost a decade at SAP in Germany.
