US-based tax consultancy firm Wipfli has announced that it will hire more than 750 employees over the next three years for its newly-opened Bengaluru office to provide full-spectrum services to its US clients.
The company currently employs close to 200 people in Bengaluru and Pune in the technology, accounting and finance areas.
The company last week set up a 40,000 sq ft office in the Global Village Tech Park to consolidate its three offices in the city. The move would help the company scale up its physical and technological infrastructures in the future, the company said.
Wipfli is an accounting and business consulting organisation with over 2,600 associates in 50 offices across US and India. As it recently acquired a Chicago consulting firm Punchkick Interactive, the company’s offices increased from 48 to 50 and employee count went up from 2,400 to 2,600.
“Wipfli first started its India operations in 2004 through its SpiderLogic subsidiary in Pune and has since steadily expanded its India presence both in numbers and capabilities,” Sumanth Padival, head of the company’s India operations, said.
Meanwhile, Kert Gresens, the company’s managing partner, said that amid the talent war in the US, there is a massive demand for services and capabilities.
“India offers Wipfli a strong ecosystem of service and technology partners that enable us to do more for our clients, which in turn will support and enable our growth,” he said.
Some of the company’s key competitors in the Milwaukee area include companies such as Deloitte, Ernst and Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers and CliftonLarsonAllen.
