Global payments firm PayPal’s India unit has launched a new employee benefit plan called ElderCare that facilitates wellness for employees’ parents and parents-in-law, the company said in a statement. The plan includes a comprehensive health check, doctor consultation, counselling assistance on emotional, financial and legal topics delivered in vernacular capabilities, home healthcare support such as doctor or nurse visits, yoga sessions and extending medical insurance cover for parents-in-law, the statement said. The programme is available in tier-1, tier-2 and tier-3 cities of India.

HPE rolls out container management platform

Enterprise technology solutions provider Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced that its container management platform is now available for all. The company had officially rolled out the HPE container platform in November 2019 for enterprises on cloud-based and physical operations to reduce costs, automate and modernise processes. The San Jose-based company also introduced new professional services to ensure faster time-to-value and several new reference configurations for data-intensive application workloads such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, edge computing and internet of things (IoT). In January, it opened an IoT experience centre in Bengaluru for its enterprise customers.

ServiceNow appoints Vijay Narayanan as first chief artificial intelligence officer

Cloud-based digital workflow technology provider ServiceNow announced the appointment of Vijay Narayanan as its first chief artificial intelligence (AI) officer without disclosing more details.  The company has also rolled out an update of its Now Platform called Now Platform Orlando. The Orlando release will deliver analytics, intelligence and mobility solutions enhancements across ServiceNow’s information technology, employee and customer workflows.
